Take Apart the Counting and the Flock it has Bred

Today Brian got me the most amazing thing...

!!! I am so excited! I absolutely adore Emily Martin's work. I really hope to get a print some day soon (Oh and a few packs of her lovely recipe cards.) If you've never seen her stuff, seriously go check it out here! Well, I am off to my night photography class, and I already think I am in love. I am developing my first roll of film tonight, and if we also make our contact sheets tonight I'll be sure to show you ASAP! I'm hoping all the pictures came out amazing!

Hope you all have a lovely day!

Fall/Winter Recap

Hi guys! It's been incredibly snowy here in New Jersey. Like RIDICULOUSLY snowy ha. I've felt super inspired since I decided to start my blog back up to get back into wearing nice clothes almost everyday again. (Let me tell you the whole yoga pants hoodie thing gets to be SUPER addicting when you don't have anywhere to be or anything to do!!) I'm really excited for what I have in store but I figured that I would kind of recap you guys (in a very condensed way) or generally what I've been up to over my bit of a break!

Photographing Adorable Kittens

My friend found some super little kittens in her barn and asked me to help her take pictures of them to find them homes. Ugh Brian and I wanted one SO bad!!

Dressing Up My Kitty

Poor baby Tum Tums was subjected to multiple fashion statements.. but I think she looks way too cute!

Drawing Portraits

I tooks a winterim course (ugh I know) so that Brian and I can move in the summer! I did an independent study on portraiture and I was really excited about the results. I also did some watercolors of my mom and Brian but I don't have pictures of those sooo, he is one of my pretty friend and my brother.

Getting My First Doll

Well not my first, but my first really nice expensive one. To be honest I never really liked dolls, but when I was randomly flipping through my dad's entertainment earth catalog I saw her. And I knew I had to have her in all of her folk tale foresty goodness! She is a Pullip Dal Dotori!

Acquiring Lots of Pretty Dresses!

I don't think this post would be complete if I didn't include a little snippet of some of the treasures I got while on my break! (And yes! That red lace dress is the one I lusted over here!)

Getting a Macbook!

...and spending way too much time playing World of Warcraft on it with Brian. Ha I admit, I am totally addicted to that game and all the cute things in it you would never expect (like my little fawn pet :o.) On another note, I am so pumped about my macbook, I had to get a white one and I buffed up my RAM and now it is the best thing ever. I am so excited to be blogging from it! (PS, look how cute my baby animals are. Ah always in the middle of everything!)

And Spending Way Too Much Time with These Two!

Brian and my kitty. Ah my favorite things in the world!

I really appreciate all the kind comments about my coming back to the blogging world. You are all so kind and wonderfully, seriously. If anyone has anything they would like to tell me, ask me, or just plain talk please e-mail me at

I promise I will be checking it once again!

Remember me?

I know it's been a really long time, and you would think I have a ton to say- but I really don't. I've spur of the moment decided to come back to blogging. I think I got too wrapped up in trying to always get outfit posts in when this is my blog. I should be posting things I want to. So I feel I'm going to come back with a different attitude and do this blog for me, and not just for fashion.

I definitely do have some catching up to do and I am seriously surprised that my number of followers hasn't incredibly dwindled, so to anyone who reads this, thank you for your patience! And to all my blogger friends, I really do hope to reconnect and I am so sorry for my disappearance.

I hope to post something for you by this weekend! Sorry for the ridiculously long break..

Happy Weekend!

Eeek. So I didn't get to have the awesome photoshoot with Brian I wanted to on his birthday. Sometimes things kind of fall through. It started to downpour around 3 PM right when he got home from school, and when I had finished baking his cake. We did have a lovely time though. And the cake was DELICIOUS. (Recipe courtesy Ms. Martha Stewart!) I'm thinking I have to post it soon, Brian can't get enough of the yummy lemon cake!

To hold you over until I get some sort of outfit post together, here's some cute shots of my babies from yesterday.

Autumn hiding in places she shouldn't.

My little fur babies snuggling!! (:

Slinky stylin' and profilin' in his new jacket.

Have a great weekend everyone! !

Happy Birthday, my love.

Happy Birthday Brian!

This is our third October together, and every year it's more exciting. I can't imagine what it's going to be like 50 years from now. I love you more than anything.

Wishes

With my birthday just around the corner I always gets asked by my parents and Brian what I would like. And every year I really have no idea. I'm not one to usually have constant lists of things I would like, I mostly admire and then move on. But lately I've been thinking about what my ultimate birthday presents would be. (Totally unrealistic I do not in any way expect them to buy any of this LOL). This led me to lots of browsing on Topshop, which I usually never look at. But I must say I found so much I am in love with. Here is my dream list of goodies from their site! (Click pictures to go to item!)

If I did get to choose one thing it would be that gorgeous red lace dress. It strikes quite a resemblance to this dress of Chuck's from Pushing Daisie's that I fell in love with. Other than that is it obvious I love cold weather colors and style? I am a huge lover of all things plaid and fairisle!

Falling Out of Trees

I was completely serious when I said I was ready to start blogging again! I know that I took a bit of time off and you're probably wondering what's been going on and what I've been up to, but truly it isn't that interesting! Ha, maybe I'll save that for another post to get you all up to date! Today there is an outfit post! Brian and I went apple picking yesterday, and it was so so so fun. I love taste testing all the different apples with him. We plan on using our awesome baking skills to create as many apple flavored things as possible (first on the list is a caramalized apple cake yumyum!!)

We also got pumpkins, apple cider and a few other yummy things. We also made creme brulees yesterday! (It was a busy day!) I think carmelizing the sugar with a kitchen torch was the epitome of awesome baking in action!

Shirt- Target ; Skirt- UO ; Belt & Necklace- Charlotte Russe ; Boots- Zigi Soho

I felt slightly crazy mixing patterns, since I never usually do it. Something about plaid makes me not care so much as I love it with pretty much anything. The only bad part about this outfit was when the wind picked up and my skirt did too! Though it made Brian and I laugh really hard.

Have a great weekend everyone!
