Driftwood: A Fairy Tale

Hi guys! First off I wanted to say Happy Memorial Day to all my American readers! I hope you are enjoying a nice relaxing day in the sun!! I was really excited to do a post with this dress, since it's so simple, yet so unique. Plus the fact that I feel like Belle from Beauty and the Beast while wearing it! It was actually just shipped to the store while I was shopping with my mom and the girl handed it to me and told me to try it on. I got so lucky, because I doubt I would have been able to get my hands on it otherwise!(They only get one time shipments of clothes and then they are gone!) I decided to go with another field shoot (in a different field), because wearing this dress makes me want to break out into Belle's song from the beginning of the movie!

Dress & Bandeau- Francesca's Collection ; Belt- Urban Outfitters ; Shoes- Target ; Necklace- Gift.

Isn't the detailing on this dress amazing? I don't think they could have made prettier crocheted flowers! (LOL at the fly on my arm who had to get his 1 minute of fame!)

I wanted to say I appreciate your sweet comments on my little nesting doll I made! I'm glad you like her since I will be creating another one for my giveaway! I hope to post some sewing tips/projects and all different sorts of crafty things on here along with my outfit posts! Thank you all for supporting this blog! Have a great rest of your memorial day!

Weekend Update!

Hi guys! This weekend so far has been working and cleaning, and more working etc. This means no real posts this weekend, but I do have some semi-exciting things to share with you guys!

I wasn't planning on having another outfit post until Tuesday, since I was supposed to be going white water rafting with my friend. After telling me last minute it was going to be around $100 for both Brian and I, I decided against it. Way too expensive when I'm trying to save for so many things. Therefor an outfit post for you Monday! I am also very excited because the other day I found an awesome chest on someone's curb that was begging to be re-furbished by myself. Since I'm guessing most of you don't know me all that well - I love crafting, and I love re-doing furniture. Taking a powersander to an old cabinet is so glorifying. Anyways I should have been less anxious in ripping off the doors of the cabinet because I don't have a picture of the original, but this is the current state of the chest-

I'm hoping by Monday/Tuesday I will have it completely re-done. I'm not going to say what I'm going to do to it, but my style is very Vintage/French Country if that's any hint!

I've also decided that once I have hit the upward of 50 followers (I feel as though I've hit a lull in my amount of followers! D:), I'm going to start doing Blogger's of the Month! In order to qualify for this, you would need to be following my blog, and to submit it to me at beeswithfeathers@yahoo.com. But I will post most on that later. Also when I hit over 150 followers I have decided to do a giveaway! As I said before, I love crafting, and sewing so I have decided to do a giveaway of some things I will make special for the giveaway, possibly including some things such as little stuffed nesting dolls and pretty buntings!

I am extremely excited to share all of the above goodies with you, and I hope you enjoy my sharing my projects with you, because I'd like to do that a lot more with you all in the future, since art is my first love!
Have a great rest of your weekend!

Springtime out the Van Window

Okay, so I lied, I didn't get an outfit post in yesterday. But I have completely valid reasoning! It was downpouring, like bucketfulls of rain, and I was at work when it was semi-decent out before that. Therefor I felt completely un-enthused to try to take pictures inside. I think the outdoor ones are so much prettier. Although it was raining, Brian and I got really delicious Thai food yesterday, and took a trip back up to the mall where I got this amazing shirt and scarf (which was 40% off!!). Today we took these in a field near the farm I live by. Its the most secluded perfect place. It's high up and it drops off really steep off the side, and the view is amazing. I wish the sun was out more, but we made do.

Cardigan, Shirt & Scarf- Francesca's Collection ; Shorts- Marshalls ; Belt- Gap ; Shoes- Aldo ; Ring- Pier 1 Imports (weird right?).

It actually makes me laugh that this ring was from some place so random. I had been looking for just a cheap plastic flower ring everywhere, but I couldn't find it. Almost all the rings I found were obnoxiously big, but this one was perfect!

Isn't the detailing on this scarf amazing? In itself, it's an awkward scarf, because it is a continuous loop (it's called the infinity scarf), but I made do because the lace is so gorgeous and wore it almost in a necklace fashion.

I don't know about you but the feeling of putting on a brand new, amazing quality cardigan is amazing. And the color of this cardigan was a must have for the pretty spring weather.

Sorry my post was a day late, hope it was worth the wait! Have a wonderful day everyone!

Sorry for the laziness

So I did wear a cute dress today, and I must say it's one of my favorites, but I was so busy I didn't have time to take pictures and do a real post. I went shopping with my mom today (which I haven't done in a little while), and got some really awesome things from this boutique like store called Francesca's Collection. To be honest, their website kinda sucks, but their store is so cozy, and there are so many surprises in every nook and cranny of the small space.

My mom really is awesome though, she got me a lot of things that I really am in love with. Silly as it sounds I am too excited about my new clothes to even sleep (lol)!

I also lightened my hair (slightly) this morning. I can hardly tell the difference, but my mom begs to differ. And I finally decided to go back to side bangs. I used to have side bangs for a very very long time and after watching (500) Days of Summer, well I felt compulsed to try and be half as cute as Zooey with her adorable bangs. But they got very annoying, very fast, and I feel much more comfortable in side bangs.

I also wanted to say thank you so much to you guys, for your extremely sweet comments and your following me. It's been putting a huge smile on my face to know I started this blog only a couple days ago (almost out of force by Brian haha), and I already have some amazing followers. You guys truly are awesome!

Have a lovely night! I'll be back tomorrow (hopefully) with a post of one of my lovely new dresses!

The Whaler

Hi guys! I didn't think I was going to get a post in today, since True Blood Season 2(!!!) came out to DVD today, and well after I finish writing this that's what I'll be watching all day! But I do have a lot of pictures to share with you, I had a fun photo shoot with Brian down by his lake today. I'm happy with how they turned out! It also shows you all how different my part of New Jersey is, I live in the area that the entire state was named for (Garden State).

Shirt, Shorts, & Belt- Charolette Russe ; Hat- Target ; Shoes- Urban Outfitters.

I was never really a big hat person - but when I saw this hat I knew it was too perfect for summer to pass up. Target has amazing prices.

Well off to watch True Blood now! Have a wonderful day!

Spirit of the Stairwell

Hi guys! I'm happy I got to do an outfit post for you today, considering I am going into work very soon. So this is one of the dresses I have gotten from Shopruche.com! Isn't it soo pretty? I am in love with the color mustard yellow and with it's floral pattern it feels like it was made for me. I also decided that I'm going to try to mix up my outfit locations since I live in a rural touching slightly on suburban area and I want to share with you all of the pretty places I see all the time. Today Brian and I went out into the most 'city like' area near us to take these!

Dress- Ruche ; Cardigan, Shoes & Headband- Target ; Tights- Bakers ; Necklace- Betsey Johnson.

I really love this little area because there it's a city-esque street with really cute stores all along it (and realllyyy good Thai food!). It's very unique though, considering you can drive five minutes down the road and be surrounded by farms!

And for the last picture I thought I would introduce you to Brian since I will be talking about him loads and loads on here. (and since he is my photographer, and the one who convinced me I have good enough to style to have a blog!) Brian and I have lived literally 3 minutes away from each other since we were in 3rd grade! Junior year of high school he asked me to prom, and before then I've only ever known him as an aquiantance (he used to be reallllyy shy). I said yes considering he is really nice, and we hit it off from there. We got engaged six months ago when I first started college, and I couldn't be happier. I hope to share with you every experience of 'growing up'!

Also I wanted to say thank you so much to all my new followers! You guys are awesome! And a special thank you to Sarah from Bad Penny who featured me in her first "Followers I Follow". Thanks girl! I hope you all have a wonderful day, it's off to work for me!

Kitty Cats All day - Everyday.

Before I go off to bed I decided to upload some cute pictures of my cats. One of the things you should know about me is how much I love cats. I love love love them. I had to beg my mom to let me get a kitten two and a half years ago, and then finally she gave in. Since then my family has decided they too love cats and we have added two more to the mix. My cat's name is Autumn and she is the pretty calico in the top picture. In the middle picture is Tinkerbell (Maine Coon) my mom's cat, and Java (?)my brother's cat. The last image is a great example of my cat's feelings toward the newer cats. (Hence the sticking out tongue). For some reason those two really get on her nerves!

I'll be back in the morning with an outfit post!

Workin' the Weekend Away...

Eek, sorry guys, I really have been busy all yesterday, and tonight also. I hope to have some kind of other post up today besides this, and hopefully a new outfit post on Monday! I figured this morning before I begin cleaning... (which really needs to be done) I'd do a little post about site(s) that make me lust over their amazing clothes.

1. Ruche.
Shopruche.com has incredibly feminine and classy clothing. Almost everything they put onto their site I can imagine styling. I love all their florals and pastel colors they seem to coordinate in their clothing choices. I have ordered from them two times before and have been extremely happy. (Hopefully sometime soon you will get to see these lovely dresses!!) Currently I am desperately wanting this romper and this dress. How absolutely perfect are they? Along with pages and pages of beautiful clothing that will make any thrifty person give in and splurge a little, they also release beautiful lookbooks that make the clothes even more necessary to buy. Don't believe me? Take a look below...

2. Modcloth

Oh Modcloth.com, how you seem to purposely update your clothing everyday to make my list of necessities grow and grow. I believe I love Modcloth for the fact that their clothing is so varied, yet it all seems to go cohesively together. Besides all of their incredible clothing they sell tons of apartment and knick knack things that, if you know me you know I can't get enough house goods and knic knacks. As stated before they add new clothes almost everyday, which for a serial window shopper like myself, is overwhelmingly fun. Below are some of my favorites that I'm hoping I can one day get... if they come back into stock! (Click them to go to their purchase pages!)

When it comes to cute clothes online shopping these are my go-to places. If you have any that you love I'd love to know what they are! (I love finding new window shopping places!) I do hope to post an About Me sometime in the future.... and tomorrow do another outfit post. But for now it's off to clean!

Sandal Weather

So today it was absolutely amazing out, around the low 80s, not too hot, but warm enough. I'm really not that big of a sandal person, (I find myself wearing the same flats almost everyday), but today was too nice not to pull out my favorite sandals. Brian (my fiance), and I took a trip down to the mall today and I picked up, what is probably one of the only hats I now own. I hope to do an outfit post with this hat next week! I also got new flats (!!), a cardigan, and a cute headband. Ahhh how I love shopping. Tomorrow I have work in the night so I plan on posting an About Me post sometime during the day, or late night tomorrow. Thanks so much for reading!

Minty Fresh

So this is my first official blog post. Wow. Well I suppose by now you have figured out I have decided to take the plunge and create my own blog. I honestly have loved creating my own outfits since I was in elementary school, but recently clothes have become much more appealing to me. I really have no experience in the fashion world, but I find clothes completely amazing, I love how they really can express an individual. I'm not going to post much about myself yet, I'll leave that for it's own seperate entry!
I thought I would start my outfit posts with a pair of my favorite shorts! (I LOVE patterned shorts!!)

Shirt- Urban Outfitters ($24); Shorts- Charolette Russe ($14); Tights-Kohls ($2!); Shoes- Shi ($40); Belt- Charolette Russe ($8); Necklace- Grandma's ; Ring- Mystic Gypsie ($50)(via NY Renaissance Faire ).

I have to say I really really love this necklace. My grandma gave it to me a while back, and I didn't know how I felt about it then - but lately I've started loving birds a lot, and after my Grandma passed away this necklace became so much more special than just a regular ole' owl necklace.

I'm very excited about this whole blogging thing and hope that it all works out and I get many lovely followers. More to come possibly later tonight if I feel like making an about me post!
